Add Your First Interactive Element

Drop a poll or survey into an Edition so subscribers can respond right inside the email — no landing page, no extra click.

What you'll build

By the end of this tutorial you'll have an Edition containing a live, single-question poll. Subscribers vote from within the email, their responses are captured automatically, and you'll know where to watch the results roll in.

Before you begin

  • An Edition open in the editor (a new draft is fine). If you don't have one yet, create one in a Project Folder first.
  • A clear question and 2–5 answer options ready to type in.
  • Permission to build and edit Editions in your account.

Steps

  1. Open your Edition in the editor and click into the spot where you want the poll to appear.
  2. From the content or block picker, add an interactive element and choose Poll (confirm the exact label in your account).
  3. Type your question, then add each answer option on its own line. Keep options short so they render well on mobile.
  4. Choose how results behave — for example, whether subscribers see live tallies after voting. Defaults are sensible if you're unsure.
  5. Save the element, then send yourself a test Broadcast and cast a vote to confirm it works end to end.
  6. When you're happy, schedule or send the Broadcast as usual.

Result

Your Edition now includes a working poll. Each subscriber can respond once directly in the email, and votes are collected automatically — check your Edition's reporting to watch responses accumulate after the Broadcast goes out.
