Core Concepts
If you learn only one thing before you start, learn this. Almost everything in the platform is built from four objects and one simple flow.
The four core objects
| Object | What it is |

| Author | You — the person who builds and sends messages. |
| Edition | A single email you build: its layout, content, and settings. |
| Folder (Project Folder) | The container that keeps related Editions organized. |
| Broadcast | An Edition that has been sent out to an audience. |
The relationship in one sentence: an Author builds an Edition inside a Folder, then sends it as a Broadcast.
Edition vs. Broadcast. An Edition is the thing you edit — you can revise it, preview it, and reuse it. A Broadcast is the event of sending an Edition to an audience at a point in time. One Edition can be sent as several Broadcasts.
How a message goes out
- Create a Folder to group your work (e.g., "Monthly Newsletter").
- Build an Edition — start from a template, add content, personalize it.
- Choose your audience — a list or a segment of subscribers.
- Send a test to yourself and check it renders correctly.
- Send or schedule the Broadcast.
- Read the Report — opens, clicks, and engagement.

The supporting building blocks
