Create an event
Add an event with details, date, and location to your microsite so subscribers can see when and where it happens and, if you choose, register or add it to their calendar.
Before you begin
- Make sure you have edit access to the microsite (experience) where the event should appear.
- Have the core details ready: event name, description, start and end date/time, time zone, and location (physical address or a virtual join link).
- Decide whether the event needs registration or a headcount. If so, plan to enable a signup form or RSVP.
- If you plan to announce the event in an Edition, note the event page URL so you can link to it later.
Steps
- Open the microsite where you want the event to live and choose to add or edit a page. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
- Add an event element (or event page) and give it a clear, descriptive name.
- Enter the event details: description, start and end date/time, and time zone. Setting the time zone helps subscribers in other regions see the correct local time.
- Add the location. For an in-person event, enter the venue name and address; for a virtual event, add the join link or instructions.
- (Optional) Turn on registration or RSVP and connect it to a signup form so you can capture attendees.
- Preview the event, then publish or save the page.
Result
The event appears on your microsite with its details, date, and location. Open the published page and confirm the date, time zone, and location display correctly. If you enabled registration, submit a test entry to verify signups are captured.
