Import site Posts into an Edition
Reusing Posts you have already published on your microsite saves you from rewriting content for email. Instead of copying and pasting, you can import a Post's title, summary, image, and link directly into an Edition so it is ready to include in a Broadcast.
Before you begin
- Confirm the Posts you want are already published (or at least saved) on the microsite you plan to pull from.
- Open or create the Edition that will hold the imported content, and make sure it lives in the correct Folder.
- Check that you have permission to edit both the site and the Edition. If you only manage one, ask an admin (confirm the exact roles in your account).
Steps
- Open the Edition you want to add content to, and place your cursor where the Post should appear.
- Insert a content block that supports pulling in site Posts (for example, a Post or article block) (confirm the exact block name in your account).
- Choose the source site and browse or search for the Post you want to import.
- Select one or more Posts. The block pulls in each Post's title, summary, image, and a link back to the full Post on your site.
- Adjust the layout, trim the summary text, or reorder Posts so they read well inside the email.
- Save the Edition.
Result
The imported Posts appear in your Edition as formatted content, each linking to the live Post on your site. Send a test to yourself, then confirm the links open the correct Posts before you schedule the Broadcast.
