Build a welcome series
Automatically send a welcome Edition when a subscriber joins your audience. A welcome series greets new subscribers, sets expectations, and drives early engagement without any manual sending on your part.
Before you begin
- Confirm you have permission to create automations in your account.
- Have the signup form or list that new subscribers join. New members of this audience will trigger the series. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
- Build and test the welcome Edition (or several, for a multi-message series) before you automate it, so it is ready to be sent.
- Decide the timing: for example, send message 1 immediately on join, message 2 after three days, message 3 after a week.
Steps
- Open the automation area and create a new automation (often called a journey, flow, or triggered send). (confirm the exact label in your account)
- Set the trigger to subscriber joins the audience and choose the specific audience or signup form that should start the series.
- Add the first action: send your welcome Edition. Select the Edition you prepared from its Project Folder.
- Add a delay step (for example, 3 days), then add another send action pointing to the next Edition. Repeat for each message in the series.
- Optional: add conditions or exit rules, such as ending the series if the subscriber unsubscribes or already converted.
- Send yourself a test, then activate the automation.
Result
New subscribers automatically receive your welcome Broadcast when they join, followed by any later messages on the schedule you set. Check the automation's report to confirm subscribers are entering the series and each Edition is being delivered and opened.
