Find, Duplicate, and Reuse Past Broadcasts
Once you are live, most Editions start life as a copy of something you already sent. Reusing a past Broadcast saves you rebuilding the layout, and it keeps recurring sends (weekly digests, monthly newsletters, standard announcements) consistent. This page shows how to locate a previous Broadcast, duplicate it into a fresh Edition, and tidy up the ones you no longer need.
Before you begin
- Know roughly which Broadcast you want: its subject line, the Folder it lived in, or the date it went out.
- Confirm you have access to the Folder that holds it — Editions are organized by Folder, and you can only reuse what you can see.
- Decide where the new copy should live. It is usually cleanest to duplicate into the same Folder, then move it if needed.
Steps
- Open the list of Editions and switch the view to show sent Broadcasts (rather than drafts). (confirm the exact steps in your account)
- Narrow the list by Folder, or use the search box to match on subject line or sender. Sort by send date to find the most recent version quickly.
- Open the Broadcast to confirm it is the one you want — check the subject, content, and the audience it was sent to.
- Choose the duplicate (copy) action to create a new Edition from it. This makes an editable draft; the original sent Broadcast is never changed.
- Rename the new Edition and update the subject line, dates, and any personalization tokens so the copy is not mistaken for the original.
- To keep your list manageable, archive or move older Broadcasts you no longer reuse. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
Result
You have a fresh draft Edition that mirrors the past Broadcast's layout and content, ready to edit and re-send. The original sent Broadcast stays intact in its Folder for your records and reporting.
