Preview Across Mobile and Desktop

Most subscribers open email on a phone, so an Edition that looks polished on a desktop can break on a small screen — stacked columns, oversized images, tiny tap targets. Preview both views before you send to catch these issues while they are still easy to fix.

Before you begin

  • An Edition open in the editor with your layout and content in place.
  • A test list or your own address for a live inbox check.
  • Know the two things device previews cannot fully replicate: real rendering in a specific email client, and dynamic content that varies by subscriber.

Steps

  1. Open the Edition you want to check in the editor.
  2. Switch to the preview mode, then toggle between the desktop and mobile (narrow) device views. (confirm the exact steps in your account.)
  3. In the mobile view, scan for common problems: multi-column sections that should stack, images wider than the screen, text that is too small to read, and buttons that are hard to tap.
  4. Check that any personalization tokens resolve as expected in both views — long values can push layouts wider than a phone screen.
  5. Adjust the layout, image sizes, or font sizes as needed, then re-preview until both views look right.
  6. Send yourself a test Broadcast and open it on a real phone and desktop client for a final confirmation.

Result

Your Edition renders cleanly at both widths, content stacks sensibly on mobile, and links and buttons are easy to tap — so subscribers see a consistent, readable message wherever they open it.
