Create an Edition

Start a new Edition inside a Folder and set its subject and basic details. An Edition is the email you build and later send as a Broadcast, so a clear name and subject line make it easier to find, review, and report on later.

Before you begin

  • Access to the Folder (Project Folder) where the Edition should live. If you don't see a suitable Folder, ask your admin to create one or grant access.
  • The subject line and, if your account uses them, the from name and reply-to address you want to start with. You can change these later.
  • A rough idea of the layout or template you want to start from — a blank Edition, an existing template, or a copy of a previous Edition.

Steps

  1. Open the Folder where you want the Edition to live. Editions are always created inside a Folder so they stay organized.
  2. Start a new Edition — for example with a New or Create action (confirm the exact steps in your account).
  3. Choose a starting point: a blank Edition, a saved template, or a copy of an existing Edition.
  4. Give the Edition a clear internal name so you and your team can identify it in lists and reports.
  5. Enter the subject line subscribers will see. You can add personalization tokens here — see the related reference below.
  6. Set the basic sending details if prompted (from name, reply-to). These can be adjusted before you send.
  7. Save the Edition to create it. It now opens in the editor, ready for content.

Result

The Edition appears in your chosen Folder with the name and subject you set, and opens in the editor. From here you can add and design content, preview it, and later send it as a Broadcast.
