Add and verify a From address
Register a From address and confirm ownership so Authors can send Broadcasts from it. Verifying a From address proves your organization controls the mailbox and domain, which protects your sending reputation and stops unverified addresses from being used on a Broadcast.
Before you begin
- Admin access to your account's sender or deliverability settings (confirm the exact steps in your account).
- The exact From address you want to register (for example,
news@yourcompany.com). - Access to that mailbox, or to the DNS records for its domain, so you can complete the verification challenge.
- If you plan to verify a whole domain, someone who can add DNS records (often IT or your domain administrator).
Steps
- Open your sender or deliverability settings and choose the option to add a new From address.
- Enter the display name and the email address Authors should send from, then save it. The address is added in an unverified state.
- Start verification. You will typically be offered one of two methods:
- Email confirmation — a message is sent to the address with a confirmation link. Open the mailbox and follow the link.
- DNS/domain verification — you are given records (such as SPF, DKIM, and a verification token) to publish in your domain's DNS. Add them exactly as shown.
- If you used DNS verification, return to the settings and select Verify so the platform can re-check the records. DNS changes can take up to a few hours to propagate.
Result
The From address shows a verified status, and it becomes selectable as the sender when Authors set up a Broadcast. Send a small test Broadcast to yourself to confirm it delivers and displays the correct From name.
