Configure account settings

Account settings are the defaults that apply everywhere your team works. Setting them once keeps every Author's Editions consistent — the right time zone on scheduled Broadcasts, the correct language for system text, and sensible sending preferences — so you aren't correcting the same details Edition after Edition.

Before you begin

  • You need an administrator role. Account-wide settings are usually hidden from standard Author accounts.
  • Look for the administration or settings area, typically reached from your account or profile menu. (Confirm the exact steps in your account.)
  • Decide your defaults ahead of time: primary time zone, default language, default sender name and reply-to address, and any suppression or sending rules your organization requires.

Steps

  1. Open the account administration area and find the general or account settings section.
  2. Set the time zone for your account. This drives how scheduled Broadcasts are timed, so choose the zone your team plans sends against.
  3. Set the default language used for system-generated text and interface labels where applicable.
  4. Configure default sending preferences — the default sender name, reply-to address, and any footer or address-block defaults required for compliance.
  5. Review any account-wide sending rules, such as the suppression list, so unsubscribed and bounced subscribers are excluded automatically.
  6. Save your changes. Some settings may take a few minutes to apply across the account.

Result

New Editions inherit these defaults, and scheduled Broadcasts are timed against your chosen time zone. Create a test Edition and confirm the sender details, language, and scheduled time reflect the values you set.
