Device-Specific Images Overview

Device-specific images let an Author show a different image on desktop than on mobile, so each subscriber sees a visual sized and cropped for the screen they are reading on. Use this when a single image would be too wide, too small, or awkwardly cropped across devices in your Edition.

What you can do here

  • Pair a desktop image with an alternative that displays on mobile devices.
  • Optimize each image so it looks sharp and loads quickly on its target screen.
  • Crop or resize the mobile version to keep key content visible on narrow layouts.
  • Preview how each version renders before you send your Broadcast.
  • Keep a consistent look across devices without maintaining separate Editions.

This overview is the starting point for device-specific images. Add each image pair as you build the relevant sections of your Edition, then preview on both desktop and mobile before sending your Broadcast.
