Add a Data-Capture Form to an Edition

A data-capture form lets subscribers submit information directly from your email — a short registration, a preference update, a request for a callback, or a free-text comment. Unlike a poll or quiz, a form can collect several fields at once and route the responses back to your reporting.

Before you begin

  • An Edition open in the editor, inside the Project Folder where you're working.
  • A clear list of the fields you want to capture (for example: name, email, and one preference), and which are required.
  • Somewhere for the answers to land — confirm whether responses appear in the Edition's reporting, export, or a connected list (confirm the exact steps in your account).

Steps

  1. Open the Edition and place your cursor where the form should appear in the layout.
  2. Add an interactive block from the content or interactive element menu, then choose the form / data-capture option (confirm the exact label in your account).
  3. Add each field you need and set its type (short text, email, single choice, checkbox, or comment). Mark required fields.
  4. Set the confirmation behavior — a thank-you message shown after submission, and a redirect URL if you want to send subscribers to a landing page instead.
  5. Personalize where helpful by inserting personalization tokens (for example, pre-filling the subscriber's name).
  6. Save the Edition, then preview and send a test to yourself. Submit the form from the test to confirm it records a response.

Result

The form renders inside the Edition, subscribers can submit it from the email, and their responses are captured for reporting. After you send the Broadcast, submissions accumulate against this Edition.
