Add a Poll to an Edition

A poll lets subscribers vote on a question directly inside your email. This guide walks you through inserting a poll block into an Edition, writing the question and answer choices, and styling it so it matches the rest of your message.

Before you begin

  • An Edition open in the editor, with a spot where you want the poll to appear.
  • The question you want to ask and the list of answer choices ready to type.
  • A decision on whether subscribers may pick one choice or several.
  • Optional: a brand color for the buttons or bars so the poll matches your template.

Steps

  1. Open the Edition and place your cursor where the poll should sit, or drag in a new content block at that spot.
  2. Insert an interactive poll from the content or component menu. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
  3. Type your question in the poll's question field.
  4. Add each answer choice on its own line. Remove any empty placeholder choices so subscribers only see real options.
  5. Set whether subscribers can select a single choice or multiple choices, and choose whether results are shown after they vote.
  6. Style the poll to match your Edition: adjust button or bar color, text, and alignment using the block's formatting controls.
  7. Send yourself or a seed list a test to check the poll renders and records a vote.

Result

The poll appears inline in the Edition with your question and choices. When you Broadcast, subscribers can vote from within the email, and their responses are tallied in the Edition's poll results.
