Add a Spotify Follow Button to an Edition

A Spotify Follow button lets subscribers follow your artist profile or a curated playlist directly from your email, without leaving their inbox where interactive content is supported. This guide walks you through linking the Spotify destination and placing the button in an Edition.

Before you begin

  • You need an Edition open in the editor, inside the Folder where you want it saved.
  • Have the Spotify destination ready — the public profile or playlist URL you want subscribers to follow (for example, https://open.spotify.com/artist/... or .../playlist/...).
  • Confirm the interactive-content block is available in your account. Interactive rendering depends on the subscriber's mail client, so also plan a fallback for clients that don't support it. (Confirm the exact steps in your account.)

Steps

  1. Open the Edition and place your cursor where the follow button should appear.
  2. From the content or interactive-content blocks, add the Spotify Follow element to the Edition. (Confirm the exact label and location in your account.)
  3. Paste your Spotify profile or playlist URL into the block's link field, then confirm it resolves to the correct destination.
  4. Adjust the button label and styling (text, color, alignment) to match your Edition's design.
  5. Set a fallback for clients that don't render interactive content — typically a plain link or image that opens the same Spotify destination in a browser.
  6. Save the Edition.

Result

The Spotify Follow button appears in your Edition. Send yourself a preview or test Broadcast and open it in a supported client to confirm the button renders and links to the correct profile or playlist. In unsupported clients, verify the fallback link opens the same destination.
